Founded in 2007, BijaHealth has developed innovative and superior products to serve the pharmaceutical industry that is increasingly shifting its research focus to emerging markets due to cost effectiveness. However, when this trend began, there were no providers of this data and the Western pharmaceutical companies quickly found that it is very difficult to navigate the system and the research efforts were limited.
BijaHealth was started in this vacuum and filled the gaps and patches that were evident. With innovative approaches, BijaHealth started to collect the patient level data from patients, hospitals, health care foundations and the few insurance companies. The efforts resulted in proprietary products such as KoshaPLD- the state of the art patient level data base from South Asia, Trialintelligence- a tool that provides clinical trial services. The KoshaPLD can also be used for market research studies.
In order to leverage the benefits of IT in healthcare, BijaHealth has also invested in developing next generation PHR and EHR systems to be deployed in the hospitals across South Asia.
